IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER REGARDING US DATA

Unfortunately, the data published by Washington and New York states is not of the highest quality

There are certain limitations that you need to be aware of:
  1. NY data doesn't contain information on models, so the data on models is reverse engineered from VIN numbers and is approx. 90% correct
  2. WA data doesn't properly distinguish BEV and HEV models, so this data is also reverse engineered from VIN numbers and is approx. 90% correct
  3. If eu-evs.com logic could not determine the model using VIN, it excludes these cars into the dataset, so the number of cars reported could deviate from reality
  4. NY and WA publish data on a monthly basis
  5. NY usually publishes data for the latest month on the 2nd day of a new month, but it's far from being complete - some brands provide registration data with significant delays. In case of Tesla a significant portion of registrations could appear with 1-2 month delay, especially in the last month of a quarter
  6. WA publishes data for the latest month in the middle of the next month, and there are "late" registrations too, as well as in NY state
